FACTORY LOGIC CHOSEN BY MANUFACTURING BUSINESS TECHNOLOGY MAGAZINE FOR SELECT “TOP 40 EMERGING COMPANIES” RECOGNITION

Company Recognized for its Industry Leading Lean Capabilities

AUSTIN, Texas, October 12, 2005 - Factory Logic, the leading provider of Lean solutions that meet the needs of the Customer Demand-Driven Factory, today announced that it has been selected for Manufacturing Business Technology (MBT) Magazine’s annual “Top 40 Emerging Companies.” Each year, the publication acknowledges and highlights a select set of up-and-coming software companies and their capacity to develop unique capabilities that meet specific vertical-industry needs. MBT’s senior editorial staff selected this year’s companies from the enterprise, PLM, manufacturing, and supply chain arenas.

Factory Logic was recognized by Manufacturing Business Technology (MBT) Magazine’s annual “Top 40 Emerging Companies” for its Lean Operations Suite, a platform-independent, real-time production leveling and supply synchronization solution that allows companies to extend their investments in ERP/MRP to the plant floor and transform the extended enterprise into a real-time, demand-driven supply network.

Factory Logic’s success is highlighted in Johnson Controls’ (JCI) rollout of one of the largest Lean manufacturing systems deployments ever undertaken. When JCI’s North American phase is complete, over 40 plants will be running on a Lean manufacturing infrastructure provided by Factory Logic. JCI is going live at a rate of two plants every 30 days and each plant has multiple product lines and an average of 1,500 employees.

"We are honored that Manufacturing Business Technology Magazine recognized the Factory Logic Lean Operations Suite," said Allan Wilson, CEO of Factory Logic. "We pride ourselves in offering the industry’s most innovative solution, which was specifically developed to help make Lean production and demand-driven supply networks a reality for a wider range of manufacturers.”

With solutions for the automotive, high tech, aerospace, defense and discrete manufacturing industries, Factory Logic’s suite addresses two of the most critical requirements for success with Lean manufacturing: production leveling at pacemaker operations and the stable synchronization of the upstream supply chain. Factory Logic supports an integrated approach that directly links production to actual customer demand, while maintaining the stability required for consistent, reliable, waste-free factory and supply chain operations.
